Potpourri
So you want to be a writer…
I'm often asked how I got published in romance. As the old joke about how you get to Carnegie Hall says, "Practice, practice, practice." I wrote, wrote, wrote. I also read, read, read. Mostly, however, I joined Romance Writers of America, where I found my agent and learned how to hone my craft. My first piece of advice to any aspiring romance writer would be to run, not walk, to Romance Writers of America. If you want more specific advice than that, you can check out my own articles on writing below. Or visit one of the links to sites with tons of articles.
Samuel Johnson once said, "What is written without effort is in general read without pleasure." So if you're embarking on a writing career, good luck, and may all your writings be read with pleasure.
